MAINTENANCE AND INSTALLATION
Every Let LOVE Guide Your Way weathervane is designed for magnificence within the limits of space, environment and budget.
The design appears simple, but mechanically, it is very complex, requiring the application of wind dynamics, perfect balance and more, plus strategies to manage environmental punishment with minimal, simple maintenance.
Only 14 components comprise the primary structure. This simplicity, combined with high-quality materials, promotes easy maintenance that is effective when applied as recommended. And the entire unit can be quickly disassembled for weather emergencies.
MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS
The Let LOVE Guide Your Way weathervane requires minimal maintenance.
ONCEAMONTH—All surfaces should be washed like a fine automobile.
PAINTFINISH— Guard against damage from environmental elements just as you would wash a car.
The finish can be waxed like a car or wiped with a light silicone spray.
BEARINGSYSTEM— Treat with a light silicone spray at least once a month.
ONCEAYEAR—Bearing System should be greased on the nipples using a basic grease gun.
EXTREMEWEATHER—For winds over 100 mph, the arrow can be easily lifted off the axle and placed flat on the ground.
INSTALLATION PROCESS
PEDESTAL—The heart-shaped unit is placed and secured to the cement foundation with L brackets.
PLACEMENTOFSTANCHIONS— Using a reach forklift, ties will be wrapped around the steel base.
It will be vertically lifted, then centered on the heart-shaped cement pedestal.
ANCHORING— Red Head cement anchors will be used to anchor the cement pedestal and the steel base.
At this point, the art piece is secure.
ROTATIONASSEMBLY—The 2-inch steel axle easily slides into the top of the base and through the customized bearing system.
PLACEMENTOFCUPID’SARROW—The reach forklift will then lift the arrow so that it slides over the axle.
SECUREANDBALANCECUPID’SARROW—The arrow axle is tightened with a series of set screws.
The arrow is balanced with a counterweight.

LET LOVE GUIDE YOUR WAY
Creating a functioning weathervane is not as easy as it may look. In fact, the engineering is quite intense and using physics to self-balance two shapes that are not equal in design nor weight is very challenging.
FABRICATION
All fabrication takes place on LloydSite premises in Miami, Florida, whereby the work environment — my shop, my space, my equipment — always remains in my control.
PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE
The LloydSite Artisan team is a tight-knit force, and we have never missed a deadline in the 20-plus years that we have been creating site-specific meaningful art that is unique, original and beautiful.

A Brief History
The original free-standing sculpture is now permanently installed on the grounds of the Dania Beach City Hall, after its successful debut at the International Kinetic Art Exhibit & Symposium in 2021 and 2019 at Dewey Park, Boynton Beach, Florida.
Let LOVE Guide Your Way
literally placed Dania Beach on the Public Art ArchiveTM map, one of six Florida art sites among 144 across the USA. The weathervane is created in steel, weighs 5,850 pounds, is 16 feet tall and has a circumference spin of 16 feet.

LOVE and everything that is attached to that
word: kindness, compassion, giving, taking,
sharing, caring, feeding, healing. Thank you.”
– Lloyd, the artist

Let LOVE Guide Your Way
provides an inspiring focal point for a community to view the art, participate in fellowship and experience kindness — spreading the message of Universal LOVE and encouraging kindness, compassion and tolerance. Seating is provided at the base of the brilliant red Weathervane that attracts notice and invites people to enjoy a space for camaraderie and reflection.

Why Weathervanes?
A weathervane measures wind direction, but it’s also a metaphoric expression of the human capacity to change points of view. Ina chaotic world, when faced with a dilemmaLet LOVE Guide Your Way.

LOVE Buttons
The LOVE button is freely distributed during events and campaigns that promote LOVE and KINDNESS.
Always worn sideways, it depicts the weathervane tip of Cupid’s arrow resting in blue skies. The rotated heart shape is the logo for the Let LOVE Guide Your Way project. When the button is worn on your shirt, the heart shape points to your heart.

The original kinetic weathervane was featured at the International Kinetic Art Exhibit & Symposium in 2021 and 2019 at Dewey Park, Boynton Beach, Florida.

CELEBRATE KINDNESS
About The Art
The kinetic art piece Let LOVE Guide Your Way is about sharing the message of Universal LOVE — something we need more of in our world today. We need more LOVE in our world.
“I hope my art encourages you to want to share the LOVE and everything that is attached to that word: kindness, compassion, giving, taking, sharing, caring, feeding, healing. Thank you.” – Lloyd, the artist
About the Art Piece: A weathervane is a device used to measure wind direction.
A ‘weathervane’ is also a metaphoric expression to describe people who change their views frequently. In a chaotic world, when faced with a dilemma, let love guide your way.
The Power of Art brings awareness to our natural surroundings. The art of Lloyd Goradesky extends from multi-media design to complex photographic creations. His artistic goal is to get the viewer to look ‘through’ the actual art piece and to interpret the meaningful message of the art.

One of 144 artworks across all 50 states created by over 176 unique artists and studios within the last 10 years, selected to be on the Public Archive Anniversary Map. The free-standing sculpture is now permanently installed in front of the Dania Beach City Hall and literally placed Dania Beach on the Public Art Archive map, as one of 6 Florida art sites among 144 across the USA.
LET LOVE GUIDE YOUR WAY WEATHERVANE
Dania Beach, Florida is now on the Public Art Archive Map
LET LOVE GUIDE YOUR WAY celebrates messages of Kindness and Universal LOVE, casting a peaceful protest toward the chaos of the world. It is an ever-evolving, interactive concept that encourages viewers to share its important messages of compassion, consideration and tolerance.
It is a hopeful statement, a mantra, a lesson in Kindness and Universal LOVE, but it is much more than a single artistic statement and thrives beyond the original weathervane in various forms.
Kindness is the focus of a collaborative, award-winning FLOW film festival documentary featuring radio personality Ellen Jaffee. A graphic of the Kindness Heart graces Girl Scouts’ badges and is also used in a Kindness curriculum that will go into 80% of public schools nationwide. The Enlight Unite Foundation, a nonprofit focused on preparing students for the future, has also commissioned a Kindness program. And the message is frequently promoted in public speaking forums presented by the artist.
Beyond the altruistic concepts, the Weathervane is an example of art merging with science and engineering. The design appears simple, but mechanically, it is very complex, requiring the application of wind dynamics, perfect balance and minimal, simple maintenance.

COMMUNITY RECOGNITION
The success of a project is directly related to its impact on a community.
And as a Public Artist, it’s important to convey coherent beliefs and continue making them meaningful within society. To this end, I have pursued various avenues to spread the Let LOVE Guide Your Way message of LOVE and Kindness, including public speaking about the importance of kindness in our culture, which often leads to invitations from other organizations.
Other initiatives include the promotion of Kindness through youth organizations and educational systems.
From this perspective, the project remains vigorous and thus successful.
The KINDNESS Project and Public Artist Lloyd Goradesky were honored with the Community Leadership Award at the 9th Annual Legacy Gala, an event sponsored by
The Ancient Spanish Monastery Foundation in Miami, Florida. Other honorees included The Honorable Mayor of Miami-Dade County, Daniella Levine Cava and Miami-Dade County State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle.
Let LOVE Guide Your Way is an interactive public art project that allows the community to view, participate and contribute their experience of kindness.
The message of Universal LOVE is conveyed through the art, the exhibits, and the interactive website. The art is represented with kinetic and static sculpture: heart shapes turned sideways and weathervanes represent the art for the project. In addition, the project has interactive written and video components that allow for community participation, contribution and interaction.

CURRENTPROJECTS
“A good public art project takes on a life all its own.” – the Artist.
2018 to current—Let LOVE Guide Your Way is an interactive public art project that celebrates LOVE & Kindness. The original kinetic sculpture has become a welcome sign for LOVE & Kindness and has expanded with an indoor exhibit that educates and teaches LOVE & Kindness. The Public Art Project has become a message for LOVE, and “Let LOVE Guide Your Way” has become a mantra.
“Let Love Guide Your Way” is a 16-foot Weathervane sculpture featured in the 2019 & 2021 Biennial International Kinetic Art Exhibit and Symposium, Boynton Beach, FL. Currently on display in front of City Hall Dania Beach, Florida. The 5000-pound art piece was created using recycled steel and aluminum and finished with quality powder-coat paint. The sculpture features a unique engineered bearing system on the axis and lighting on the heart of the Cupid’s arrow.
2016 to current — Goradesky’s experimenting with glass technology combined with innovative lighting led Chabad Chayil Synagogue to select him as the Project Artist and Art Consultant for building and designing their Synagogue and educational building, a project that spans an entire city block in Aventura, Florida. The building’s focal point is the welcoming illusion of an open book that is created by the structure itself, designed by Goradesky. The project includes Goradesky’s exclusive illusionary design and creative technology.
2014-2016—(Proposed) “The Parasol Project” will be the “Welcome Beacon” for visitors during Art Basel Miami 2018. The Artist will cover a 10-story building using over 155 large round and rectangular parasols simulating ‘flowers’ morphed into Morse Code dots and dashes conveying messages to viewers that translate to “Welcome” on the building’s South Side and “We Love You” on the building’s North Side, creating a huge public art piece that is environmentally conscious and beautifies a dilapidated building.
2012-2013—“Gator in the Bay,” a floating 33,000-pound alligator the size of a football field. Its head is a 3-story steel sculpture built on a self-propelled barge using recycled junkyard materials. The upper jaw, attached to the boom of a crane, opens and closes. The body is made of 104 individual boards (called Floating Art Tiles) displaying 3,000 photographs of the Everglades (captured by the artist). The head/upper jaw was featured during Art Basel Miami-2012; the entire piece was featured in Art Basel Miami-2013. Received widespread, international print and broadcast media coverage, including ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, CNN, Fox News, Yahoo News, Discovery Channel, Huffington Post, The Examiner, Sun Sentinel, Miami New Times and Miami Herald. Project Manager and Artist, Goradesky worked with federal, environmental and local city officials, including Homeland Security, Marine Control, U.S. Coast Guard and NASA, for approval. Budget $1,000,000. Private funding for this public art project.

The KINDNESS Project
Conceived and executed as an environmentally friendly project, Let LOVE Guide Your Way weathervanes are constructed with only fourteen primary components.
During fabrication, the artist carefully preserves cast-offs from the production process. Heart-shaped cutouts from the four stanchions and the two
Cupid’s arrows gain new life in other forms.
There are now many versions of the weathervane in various sizes and designs, but the message remains the same: Celebrate Kindness.
Fully functioning weathervanes exist in varying sizes as public artworks. A tabletop model is on display at the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts in Hollywood, Florida, one among several that reside in private collections.
The simplicity of the individual parts allows ease of duplication. Smaller models and ‘spinoffs’ have adapted some or all components to create everything from unique mirrors, frames and heart-shaped keepsakes to doll-sized furniture and full-scale rocking chairs. The parts fit together like a puzzle for easy assembly. Most are engraved with the Let LOVE Guide Your Way message of LOVE and KINDNESS, are signed by the artist and can be customized to order.

Replica Weathervanes
illustrate the concept of art and design merged with science and engineering.
These fully operating objet d’art sculptures were created for display in museums and fine galleries.
The mindful message of KINDNESS and universal LOVE is represented by weathervanes with a Cupid’s Arrow and heart-shapes rotated 180 degrees. A rotated heart-shape is at the tip and at the end of each Cupid’s Arrow.
Let LOVE Guide Your Way has expanded into a national KINDNESS campaign, urging people to be mindful in our World at a time when we need it most.
THE POWER OF ART — THE PROJECT
Let LOVE Guide Your Way is an ever-evolving, community interactive concept that encourages viewers to share its important messages of compassion, consideration and tolerance.

Let LOVE Guide Your Way encourages
individual participation with Stories,
Interviews and News of Kindness
Let LOVE Guide Your Way is a hopeful statement, a mantra, a lesson in Kindness and Universal LOVE, but it is much more than a single artistic statement and thrives beyond the original Weathervane in various forms.
For example, KINDNESS is the focus of a collaborative, award-winning FLOW film festival documentary featuring radio personality Ellen Jaffee.
The project encourages individual participation with collections of Stories, Interviews and News of KINDNESS.

Why Kindness?
A list of positive effects of KINDNESS on our mental health
Pain – Kindness releases endorphins in the brain. It’s a natural painkiller.
Stress – Kind people age slower and have lower stress than the average person.
Anxiety & Depression – Kindness improves mood, depression and anxiety. Kindness stimulates the production of serotonin, which heals wounds, calms and increases happiness.
BloodPressure – Kindness helps release oxytocin, a ‘cardioprotective’ hormone that releases another chemical called ‘nitric oxide in the body that dilates blood vessels, thus reducing blood pressure.
Pleasure – Elevated levels of dopamine in the brain cause pleasure / and reward centers to light up. This is known as the ‘helpers high.’
Self-Worth – Kindness can make us not just feel good about ourselves but begin to believe in ourselves, increasing our self-worth.
Relationships – Kindness helps improve relationships by reducing the distance between individuals.
LET LOVE GUIDE YOUR WAY
A COMMUNITY INTERACTIVE PROJECT
CREATED BY PUBLIC ARTIST LLOYD GORADESKY
Like all good public art, Let LOVE Guide Your Way inspires community engagement, delivering a powerful message that celebrates Universal LOVE and Kindness while encouraging compassion, consideration and tolerance.
The Public Art project is a celebration of KINDNESS that is much more than a single artistic statement and thrives beyond the original weathervane in various forms.
Ever-evolving, the project has established a kindness curriculum for nonprofit youth associations such as Girl Scouts and The Enlight Unite Foundation. It has notoriety in other channels as well, including music and documentary film. Additionally, the message is frequently promoted in public speaking programs presented by the artist.
For communities, the unique visibility and eye-catching motion of the weathervane sculpture creates a magnetic draw to an iconic destination.
